Hi, I'm Laura!

I’m a registered dietitian and 500-hour yoga instructor who teaches individuals and groups how to make healthy lifestyle changes so that they can feel nourished on every level from the habits they learn to create for themselves.

 

I’m a New York native, now living in Portland OR, with my husband and cat. They both get to hear me practice my favorite presentations where I get to nerd out about food marketing tricks, sleep, stress management skills for busy people, mindful eating, and so much more. 

I currently support a global insurance company in providing health and wellness programs during the work day, and I’ve supported thousands of corporate employees over the past several years there.  

 

I’m bringing the best of what I’ve taught over the past few years into this one program so you can benefit, too.

Why I created this:

I wanted to create a course where I taught my method- the same one that helped me feel more confident about my lifestyle choices because I knew how to apply them to my life.

I want to empower others to live truly nourished lives without wasting time or money figuring it out on their own.

I also believe that everyone should have access to credible information from a trusted source, and know how to apply that information to fit their personal needs. Wellness is SO individualized, but that doesn't mean it needs to be prescribed by a high-end provider only to people who can afford it.

Short answer: Yes, probably!

Long answer: This course is geared towards humans with brains that create habits on autopilot (meaning, all humans).

This course is more specifically for you if you’re looking to refine existing habits or create new ones to help you live a healthier, happier, less stressful life.

Yes… If you’re willing to do the work and try new things.

Short answer: It depends.

Long answer: Though the program provides tools for you to be an empowered health care consumer, I strongly recommend that you seek care from a specialized health care professional outside of the course to support you as well.

Short answer: Not if you don’t want to (but you might want to).

Long answer: You don’t HAVE to, but I will cover why certain meal patterns don’t work for long term health or weight loss success, so you may be inspired to change it up. 🙂

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: It’s not about “having the time,” it’s about your priorities and being able to recognize options available to you, no matter what your schedule looks like.

You can learn how to shift your mindset and perception to make the most of what you have, even if seems like you don’t have much to work with.

It depends where you are now and where you want to go in terms of your health journey.

Sleep-related goals could take less than 2 days to see an improvement, while some nutrition or weight-related goals could take months to years.

If weight loss is your goal, then sleep ABSOLUTELY is your first step before you do anything about exercise or nutrition.

I go over that in more detail in the very beginning of the course.

(However, I also go over why weight loss might not be what you’re ACTUALLY after.)

That’s great that you’ve already started educating yourself and making some changes to your routine!

You’ll probably learn something new or re-learn things because you’ve most likely never learned them with me before. 😉

Treat it as a refresher on WHY you’re doing some of the things you’re already doing, and renew your motivation to keep going.

The bright side is that you may have more than option that will support you in meeting whatever your goal is!  The not-so-bright side is that it’s up to you to decide which option to go with.
